Painting Without a Plan

Lately I've been trying to paint more, not because I'm particularly good at it, but because it's one of the only creative things I do with zero pressure attached. Everything else I create, scripts, captions, content, has an audience and a purpose behind it. Painting is just for me, no deadline, no brand guidelines, no analytics to check afterward. I usually don't even plan what I'm going to paint, I just start and see where it goes. It's turned into a nice way to reset after a long day of writing and editing for other people.
